Plant Based Health and Wellness Summit

1st Inaugural Summit – August 19-20, 2017


The first Plant Based Health and Wellness Summit was a huge success. Thanks to all the attendees who took the time out of their lives to learn, and enjoy the delicious food during the weekend. Gratitude to all the speakers, volunteers, sponsors and venue staff for helping making it great!

The theme of the Summit (and future Summits) is about living a healthy lifestyle with the emphasis on the four major components of a healthy lifestyle: Diet/Nutrition, Stress Relieve, Love and Support and Movement. The Summit is dedicated to broadening your understanding and knowledge about all four of these components.

It is a gathering of top experts in nutrition, health and wellness focused on creating and maintaining a state of optimal health along with identifying tangible steps that anyone can take to live a healthy lifestyle.

Here’s what was presented at the 2017 Summit:

  • The science behind plant based nutrition and the impact it has on chronic disease prevention and reversal
  • Tips, tools, and strategies to create and maintain a healthier lifestyle
  • Healthy cooking demo workshops and expert speakers on living a plant based lifestyle Breaking free from food addictions

  • The Environment and Modern Agriculture: How animal agriculture depletes the planet of valuable resources
  • Qigong presentation and demo (exercise)

Meals served during the weekend dispel a common myth that healthy foods are not satisfying or delicious. Attendees enjoy buffet tables filled with:

Day 1 Lunch: Garden Salad with all the fixings, Three Bean Salad, Roasted Fingerling Potatoes, Corn on the Cob, Homemade Black Bean and Quinoa Burgers with all the fixings

Day 1 Dinner: Cucumber, Bermuda Onion and Tomato Salad, Spinach and Arugula Salad, Roasted New Potatoes, Sautéed Seasonal Vegetables, Homemade Vegetable Lasagna

Day 2 Lunch: Panzanella Salad, Mixed Field Greens with all the fixings, Mashed Potatoes, Sautéed Seasonal Vegetables, Plant Based Meatloaf with Gravy
